The Flower Press for kids by Mrs. Green is an excellent craft gift for kids to get them interested in both nature and crafts! The simple kit includes a small flower press plus some basic supplies to get kids started on making pressed flowers to make art or crafts.
Take the kids out into the garden or on a nature walk and let them pick out pretty wildflowers or interesting leaves to bring home and preserve in their flower press. To use the flower press simply set your flower (or leave, grass etc) between two pieces of absorbent paper and put the wooden blocks of the press around the outside. Secure the press with the elastic bands from the kit and then you'll need to have a little bit of patience! After a week you can sneak a look at the flowers to see if they are completely dry, but it may take another week or two before the drying process is fully finished.
Once the flowers are dry, carefully remove them from the press and use them to make crafts!
